About Us

Founded by Harshita Ganga, the founder of Spectrum Empowerment, the Penn State chapter brings together a team of Penn State students who share a commitment to inclusion and supporting children of all abilities. Building on the work of Spectrum Empowerment's existing chapters, the Penn State team hopes to involve more college students in supporting children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental disabilities.

Through STEAM activities and community events, the team hopes to help children explore their interests, learn new skills, and build confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment. As the chapter gets started at Penn State, Harshita and the student leadership team look forward to connecting with local families and volunteers and creating more opportunities for children to learn, participate, and grow.
